Number Two

Today I turn 2 and even though mom accidentally poked me in the eye, it's been a pretty good day. First thing this morning I was showered with hugs & kisses. Then I hung around the house, barked at the mailman and decided that just for today I'd skip chewing up the carpet. Once everyone got home I got more hugs, treats, and a new toy. Mom took some pictures but the camera is not cooperating. Anyhow here's a good semi-nap picture of me.

Voodoo Vick

Many moons ago mom decided that she wanted to create a Voodoo Vick doll. First she had Aunt Debi teach her to sew and after a while she made the 1st one. I heard that it broke the camera so we don't have any record of it. But the 2nd go around was a little more successful. Here it is..

I was soo excited to sink my teeth into him. Take that Michael "Scum of the earth" Vick. Even though mom took him away ('cause the filling was pouring out) I did enjoy my Voodoo Vick doll. I hope mom takes another sewing class and creates more toys for me.

My Uncle & Auntie are adopting him on Thursday & we can't wait to meet him. Does anyone have any advice for our very 1st meeting? I ask 'cause my other cousin Annabelle (below) is not too fond of me & I think it's cause I'm a boy & she like to run things. Go figure?

Mom came home a few weeks ago and noticed that the bird (Rio) was nowhere to be found. He normally hung out in the back patio during the day so I don't know what made him want to leave? I tried hanging out with him a few times but I always got a craving for chicken when he was around...go figure?

Every year in Plant City there's a huge Strawberry Festival with loads and loads of strawberries. So fresh berries are available everywhere!! Here's what one of them looked like before being devoured by Mr Rocco.

Looks like I've been slacking alittle with our posts so here's an update. Since the green monkey was forced into an early retirement, we got Rocco a super cool sneaker toy. It's really plush with two squeakers and looks like a real shoe.

Then this past weekend we (daddy) grilled up some steaks. Mr. Rocco goes crazy when he sees us cooking, so after dinner, he got the treat of all treats.

We went to the Vet this weekend for a routine check-up & some shots. Rocco was real brave and took his shots like a big boy, he hardly even twitched! All in all the Dr said that he looks great, she even made some "recommendations" on our receipt. I truly laughed out loud when I read it!

Today marks one year that Rocco joined our family. He's been a wonderful loving baby & we couldn't imagine not having him in our lives.

Our cousins Cameron & Julian spent the night over the weekend & it looks like they left some of their entourage behind. Mini Mel was found under the couch tonight by Rocco. Poor Mel spent the night all alone in the dark and almost became Rocco's new chew toy.

I hope his brothers come by to pick him up real soon. In the meantime, I'll keep him in a safe place.

We rang in the New Year with a BANG! First we took in a Bucs game in Tampa against Seattle. Since Roccos' big brother is a Seahawks fan, he was very pleased with the score (23-7). After the game we went over to Uncle Jason's to PARTY. Rocco was spoiled with all sorts of treats and a special New Year's dinner of freshly grilled hamburger meat and perfectly season rice. Since this was our 1st New Years together he was a little nervous about the fire works but all in all he had a blast running around and just being puggly.

This one's for you Duke & Gidget and any other Seahawk fans that stop by.

Rocco had a great 1st Christmas with our family.
Here he is with Uncle & Auntie J Slim, Grandpa & his big brother Cody.

Since he was a good boy all year...Santa brought Rocco an Ultrasonic Squeaker Toy. He got Hypersonik who is one of the characters. He had a great time running around the house with it and as usual we loved watching his excitement.

A Real Tree

This is the 1st year we've put up a real tree. We had a choice of buying a $125 + tree fresh from Wisconsin or a good ol' $30 Douglas Fir from Home Depot. Since we wanted to get Rocco presents this year...we went with the DF.

Grandma & Grandpa Smith came down to help celebrate Roccos' 1st Thanksgiving with us. We all had a great time and plenty of Turkey and Ham!
